Students from the Fort Hamilton High School Marching Band hit the red carpet to play at the opening of the Music Man.

Best wishes on this special day that begins the second week of Term 2.  We have a full week of classes and activities and school will be closed for Winter Break, February 21-25, 2022.  Classes resume on Monday, February 28.

Under our “Stay Safe, Stay Open” plan, our schools have remained open and among the safest places for young people to be during the pandemic, including during the Omicron surge. We are determined to build on that progress. This Family Update provides important information about our latest health and safety policies, which will take effect on Monday, January 31.

Friday, January 28, 2022 marks the end of the fall term. Wednesday, February 2, begins term 2 with a revised bell schedule. There is no school for students on Monday, January 31 and All New York City Public Schools are closed to observe Lunar New Year on Tuesday, February 1.

The first two weeks of 2022 included a surge in covid cases, a snowstorm on 1/7, and a Pupilpath system failure across the nation starting 1/8.

Pupilpath is restored to students and families. Term 1 classes continue to meet daily from January 24-28. Positive covid cases have dropped dramatically this week

The Spring 2022 Term begins Wednesday, February 2, 2022, with a revised bell schedule

There is a Revised Final Exam Schedule. In recognition of disruptions with absent teachers and students not receiving instruction, especially students who are at home, the schedule has been modified for one-part exams beginning Tuesday, January 18 through Monday, January 24.
