Every class should have met daily to start off Term 2 this week. The schedule for an asynchronous day and new test day across each department goes into effect February 8, 2021. The schedule is attached for your convenience. Students are still expected to engage in every class daily, but the ‘break’ from a virtual meeting is designed to help students balance the demands of being on their computers for everything. Teachers may meet with small groups of students on the assigned asynchronous day to provide additional support, and/or periodically switch asynchronous day to Wednesday per instructional needs, but daily interaction with each class is still critical for students to benefit from instruction and the asynchronous day
In Term 2, students primarily continue with their Term 1 program and teachers. Exceptions are one-term courses or other adjustments as needed. Please check Pupilpath to verify Term 2 program and reach out to your counselor with questions. Teachers communicate updated classroom and virtual meeting codes via gmail and/or Pupilpath.
To access the Term 1 Report Card on Pupilpath, go to the “Grades” tab. Then click “Report Card” along the left side drop down menu. Make sure you’re on Year/Term 2020-2021: Term 1 located above the blue header line. You’ll see grades for each marking period and the final grades are under MP3. Passing grades are 65% and over OR CR (credit). Any grades of NC (no credit) OR NX (incomplete) will need to be made up Term 2.
Fall 2020 School Experience Survey to complete by February 5th:

Consent for Covid-19 Testing required by February 8th to remain Blended:
BLENDED students without consent for Covid-19 testing on file by February 8, 2021 will be moved to Remote Learning, regardless of remote learning for all high school students. Options to complete
Since September 2020, we’ve had 55 positive cases of Covid-19 reported within our community. It’s helpful to note that there has been no transmission from any positive cases to other members of the community.
We have 4 full instructional days next week, February 8-12, and then we’re on mid-winter break, February 15-19. All classes resume Monday, February 22nd. The work to restore our building from the flood damage continues and we remain optimistic that it will be accessible to staff in early March. Full remote learning continues across NYC DOE middle and high schools until further notice.
Take care and have a positive and productive weekend.

CREATING NYCSA ACCOUNT
Fill out the covid-19 testing consent form online using a New York City Schools Account (NYCSA) at mystudent.nyc. · If you already have a NYCSA account linked to your student(s): Log in, click your student’s name, click “Manage Account,” and then when a dropdown menu appears, click “Consent Forms.” Read the page, and then choose the consent option at the end for your student. · If you do not already have a NYCSA account: You can create one with an account creation code from Ms. Makkar. It takes approximately five minutes, and then provide the consent as described above. If you do not have an account creation code from your school, you can still provide your consent right away by clicking “Manage Consent” under “COVID-19 Testing” and filling out your and your child’s information to provide consent.
